- Spam messaging or bulk unsolicited communications
- Buying, selling, or using scraped contact lists
- Sending messages without explicit user consent
- Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading campaigns
- Promoting illegal products, services, or activities
- Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory messaging
- Phishing, malware, or malicious content distribution
Required Practices
All users must follow these practices:
- Obtain explicit opt-in consent before messaging users
- Provide clear identification of your business in messages
- Send honest, accurate, and relevant messaging
- Honor opt-out requests immediately (STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL)
- Comply with WhatsApp Business policies and local laws
Enforcement
Violations of this policy lead to:
- Immediate suspension of messaging privileges
- Temporary or permanent account ban
- Termination of services without refund
- Reporting to relevant authorities if legally required
WhatsApp-Specific Rules
When using WhatsApp Business API through G-FAM:
- Only send messages to users who have opted in
- Use approved message templates for outbound messaging
- Respect rate limits and quality scoring
- Do not attempt to circumvent WhatsApp's policies
